If you're new to the idea of theology, don't be intimidated.

 

You don't have to have a PhD to ask who God is or what he's like. Chances are high, if you've found yourself on our site, you've already been asking questions. Maybe for a long time. Asking questions is an essential element to discovering who God actually is.

 

And the great news is God's not intimidated by your questions.​

 

You'll find too when it comes to our theological camp, we're big on gathering a multitude of perspectives. We hear people out. We're willing to hold tension and take time to sort through complex theological concepts. Too often, we make damaging mistakes handling scripture because we're too impatient to let something marinate or dig deeper to find out the meaning.

While we hold to the authority of scripture, we've seen it abused and misused, and the last decade holds dozens of accounts of church leaders falling. For many of us, we feel stuck. We want to follow the LORD, but we feel trapped between a church body that doesn't feel safe or practically helpful, and a world infused with lies. How can God be true, and be Truth itself, when his word has been handled so sloppily? Those are the kind of questions we're going to get into here. Come along for the ride.
