PSYCHOLOGY

The Study of the Soul

Understanding the soul helps us name what’s broken, nurture what’s good, and move toward wholeness.

Psychology is one of those fields that sparks a series of reactions.

Some people love it. Others hate it. It's a field that's been both weaponized and medicinal. It's told truths and lies. It carries a legacy of scientific inquiry, and...let's just say, it's been inspirational for horror movies. For good reason, in some cases.

We can squarely call the world of psychology complex. Very, very complex. Almost like the humans it attempts to figure out.

Why are we studying psychology?

At risk of sounding repetitive, we're interested in the the study of the soul because we want to see people flourish. We'll look at science, and we'll look at scripture. We'll talk with mental health professionals from a variety of backgrounds and specialities, and we'll dig deep into the theology of what a human being is. It doesn't make sense that you can heal something without knowing what it is. And that same logic carries over into being human. So let's jump in.
